It's got a cable handbrake, I've changed fronts on other cars, I'm assuming its along the same lines.Out of interest which hand brake does that car have, cable or electric? Either way replacing the rear discs tends to just be removing the callipers from the carrier bracket and swopping the discs over, though usually I buy new carrier bolts and remove that as well.
Edit:- I was generalising there on VW Group cars with rear disc brakes, never having taken the rear discs off a Leon.
The handbrake is a cable one, going to have a look for that tool, been quoted £300 from a garage, but i know i can get the discs and pads (Brembos) for £70 on ECP just now. It's easy but it depends on which kind of handbrake you have. If it's a cable/manual one you need to wind the pistons back in. You need a tool for this but it's cheap on eBay.
If it's an electric handbrake you need to plug into the ecu and put the brakes into service mode or something. I don't know exactly, I haven't done it, but it's more involved than just winding the pistons back in.
When I'm braking from higher speeds I can feel the pedal and the car vibrating. What are you noticing?

Makes sense that they should have vented discs. The manual is obviously wrong.Well my daughter's 2019 MY Leon Cupra certainly has vented rear brakes.

Sounds like warped discs. The Tech would have checked that the caliper mounts were tight, wouldn't he?When I'm braking from higher speeds I can feel the pedal and the car vibrating.
The removal of the spline drive bolts at 7:15 into the video are a PITA
My Leon is a 64 plate FR 184 DSG, I think the age is why it’s got a cable handbrake. As your car has a cable parking brake set up, it must be one of the lower engine outputs versions, so if I were you, I'd think that Pagid or Textar rear pads would do the job along with new Pagid discs as the rear brakes don't really get that much work to do.
