Am i right in thinking that the rear disks are the same size for 8 and 16v?

don't forget you need the wheel bearings to go with them though, as the bearings sit inside the disc on the Mk2....

they changed the design on the Mk3, as the bearings are part of the hub assembly instead.....

Andy, when you say bearings is this the actual wheel bearings themselves or some kind of bearings for the discs? What should I ask for at the spares shop?? Excuse my ignorance!! My rear discs are shot and Ive got MOT comin up, Is it an easy job??

They're the rear-wheel bearings....

and they're a PITA to fit to be honest.... you have to press the larger race into the disc, ideally with a proper press, or you can use the old one and a hammer.....

Got some brand new Febi rear bearings at home if anybody wants to pick them up. Postage is probably more than the bearings.
