Rear drivers door wont lock help please

Right guys ive bought a mk1 seat leon 1.9tdi and tonight i went to the petrol station and got home locked the car and the interior light wouldnt go off, i checked the drivers door and it was locked but the passengers door behind the driver was not locked, i tried again and again but still no luck, its still open, i can hear the motor working but it isnt doing anything, any ideas or help

Smack the handle with the palm of your hand, might work then.

Could be faulty door lock.

are they expensive asy to get hold of etc?

I know it's £100 is for the drivers one not sure on the rear but go to the dealers section on here and ask seremotors for a quote

Does the window still work on the "broken" door?

yh window still works, i can hear the motor moving when locking coud it just be a sticky solenoid?

Possibly, you tried pushing the button down whilst locking it?

what button, the key fob?

On top of the door card, mine as buttons although some later ones i think it was discontinued.

mine hasnt got it unless they have been smoothed, ill whip the door card off at the weekend and have a look at the solenoid etc.
