Rear wiper washer

hi all,

the rear washer on my screen has stopped working, have not checked for a blockage, but is anyone else aware of any common problems with these at all?

big problem on the mk4, ours has come off again!!!!!

there's a fragile join at the rear of the car, when it freezes, water expands to ice, thus popping the connector. every time you press the rear screen wash button, water pisses inside the bootlid.
last night my bootlid was frozen shut, and i couldn't get into it!!

This has happened on mine. Anyone know how to get the rear plastic panel off to get to the pipe??

Just took my tailgate trim off at the weekend.

There's 2 screws underneath the pop off panels, and one in the grab handle you use to close the boot. Remove these, then you prise it off, but it is a right pain in the arse to do, requires a fair bit of force! Just try not to break the clips.

Think I might check my washer too. I am fixing my sisters Ibiza 130 tomorrow as her foot well is soaking. I have one blocked washer nozzle on the front (driver side is ok) that I didn't get around to unblocking and now the rear seems to be not working either since we had some ice.

just repaired this problem on mine.
The water hose had simply popped off. It's no good just popping it back on as it will happen again, just super glue it on being careful not to block the pipe (bit of a bodge i know but have been told this is the only way to stop it coming off again as the plastic is too hard to cable tie)
The metal clips that hold the panel on are not designed to be re-fitted, you can but it rattles and squeaks like a ba*@$rd.
Just order some new clips from your dealer 30p each you'll need 6

bummer, wish i knew the superglue trick when i took my trim off to fix mine last winter, i darent try to use the wash at the moment cause its probably gone! doh.

I used a jubilee clip to fix mine, that way its nice and secure.
