Chill out a bit chaps, this event must have been run properly to get an MSA permit etc. I'm involved in motersport and I understand your concern, but I for one would much rather have gone to this event than any number of cruises where all manner of potentially dangerous antics can be witnessed that lots of our forum members must be tempted into partaking in at some time - allegedly etc etc

Ah, DPJ thanks for the correction, it doesn't say it had a permit, but rather it is a MSA recognised club. My bad, but I hope everyone can take my point - there are many worse things one could do.

I think that if there was a serious accident on an unregulated event such as this, run by an MSA affiliated club, then the MSA would come down on the club like a ton of bricks.

I also think it possible that signed waivers would count for nothing as lawyers got involved and the organisers would find themselves facing charges of corporate manslaughter in the event of a death.....

looks fun but that track looks like you could have some serious crashes with not much to stop you except a large tree or fence post

looks like a fun venue terrain wise, althought not forgivving for those pushing beyond the limit..

aside from the h&s concerns voiced by others (and personally I am more than tired with nanny culture in the name of H&S) its refreshing to see some grass roots fun. I am surprised at the helmet thing from a liability perspective and your liability insurance not insisting on it. (amazed these days)

how far from say gloucester is it?

thanks
bill
