Exactly what i have planned, i just bought a 4 awg amp wiring kit as it worked out cheaper than buying decent power cables.

Looks good fair play. :D

I got the distribution block and mega fuse + holder, so the wiring is now complete.

I'm also experimenting running twin Bailey dump valves, recirculation DV30 on the hotside and atmospheric DV26 on the coldside ... works great, no fault codes and sounds great! Time will tell how successful it is but initially no problems at all. :D

Relocating the battery has made an improvement in the handling, the front end is more responsive and keener to turn in, plus the weight in the boot helps keep the rear end planted - so overall well worth doing.

I received my trackday wheels from Compomotive, they are the new 8 x 18" MVS1880 rims which are MUCH lighter than the MO's - they may end up as my full-time wheels, time will tell!

Tyres are Hankook R-S2 Z212 225/40ZR18 which camskill say are trackday tyres, I've had them before and they have very stiff sidewalls and awesome dry grip.

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.

 Great! (But you knew I would say that!)

Collins was fine, but I wanted to try the Bailey DV26 as it has a smaller piston and vents a smaller amount of air, but still sounds good, if anything the DV26 sounds even better than the Collins!

Mine is already tucked out the way (as you can see in this pic),

Doing the battery shouldn't be difficult, I've ordered an alloy battery tray which can be drilled and bolted to the boot floor, will use some JB Weld on it too to make sure it's secured well. The hold-down is part of the tray so it will be exactly what I need.

I've ordered 5m of red 4AWG and 1m of black 4AWG cable, terminals and the tray already. Once new year hols are out the way next week I'll get on with it!

Hi Guys,

Where did you place the black unit that sits on top of the battery. I'm going to be relocating mine tomorrow morning and completely forgot about the unit on top.

Also I managed to get a good deal on the same tray that Rob has. Infact I can organise a group buy for minimum of 5 alluminum trays for £30 delivered to any where in the UK. If you interested please let me know.

I must say initially I thought the tray would be abit heavy but it is absolutely light weight. The funny bit is the tray was packed in a Stella beer case...:coolthumb

Anyways please let me know so that I can get cracking with this tomorrow.

Cheers,
Indy

Mine is tucked down the side of the ABS unit, with the main red cable extended to the distribution block that the battery cable comes back to.

Fantastic, thanks for the speedy response.

By the way I got some news on the Carbon fibre bonnets which I will post later on today. Only thing is development on them will only begin if we have a group buy. I will keep you posted on this one.

Cheers,

hmmmmmmm Intresting.

I was made to belive by some sound pharting junky that I must have an in line fuse near the battery therefore I got 1. But I guess there's no harm in fitting it as i've already torn through the packaging.

I think you'll blow the 80 amp fuse to bits at some point. The original +/ve connection to the starter motor isnt fused.

Cool thanks for the advise ill do a direct connection and leave the fuse out.

Finished re-locating the battery over the weekend, went like a breeze..
Would someone be able advise me on what to do with the cover that rests ontop of the wheel well. Do I take it out and leave the battery to air or leave it as it is?

Cheers,
Indy
