lol after we met up the other night for some quick logging on richards car my engine management light came on on the way home, stopped at richys to notice the smell of melting plastic coming from the engine bay, popped the bonnet to see my n249 valve did exactly the same as yours, the bracket snapped and it dangled down on the exhaust manifold but i was too late to save it, the internals melted out lol

Just had my n249 bypass, has certainly tidied up the engine bay, however revo doesnt feel quite aggressive? anyone else had this, temps werent very high at all and all the pipes were secure and most of them replaced with blue hosing

Why doesnt that look right to me?

Do you still have the vac hoses plumbed into the n112?

I dont know mate, wasnt me that did it, i'm getting boost but it just doesnt pull as hard as it used to. Is it n112 the junction box above the coilpacks? If that is it was told to leave it so it wouldnt read a fault?
What do you suggest, do you want me to take a different pic?

I got it done at vagtech (for free with a service)
The black box on the top of my engine bay was snapped so instead of superglueing it back on opted for this instead, I didnt really know about it before, but I trust vagtech.
What is the n112?
It just looks like one junction box has been taken out but relocated where the unplugged one is on your pic,

edit : all is fine now after intercooler fitting, pulling much harder

Well most people seem to notice a difference, mine feels less than normal though and dont know if its because I expected it to be better, no improvement has made it feel slightly slower, need a boost guage to see whats going on.......

Done this at the weekend. Made a huge difference on mine. Throttle response improved, gear changes are 'smoother' and no random boost dumps!

Very worth while imo.
