Can someone please explain how on earth I get the rocker cover off a 2.0l TDi (140) BKD engine. Good grief! I've loosened the 10 bolts on top, removed the cambelt cover, undone the pipe from the airbox. I can get it to lift, but feels like it still gets caught somewhere. Spent an hour the other day and eventually gave up. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

These are the removal instructions from the workshop manual. If you're doing all this and it's still being stubborn then it is probably just the gasket keeping it "glued" on and nothing that a bit of careful persuasion with a rubber headed mallet won't solve :)

I can't remember off hand. It was 4 codes, one for each glow plug saying something like "glow plug #1 electrical fault". Each fault code was for a different glow plug. Never had any issues with them until the cambelt was changed. But I took it back to the guy who changed the cambelt and he showed me the diagnostics report showing glow plugs. I know he never touched the rocker cover as there is no need to and I can see it wasn't touched. I thought it may be a cable but not sure where the cables run or where the glow plugs are earthed to.
No error lights on the dash, car just struggles to start when it's cold.
