Nah i just twisted out the electrical bit on the top and tucked it away.

Still brings up a CEL if you idle for too long for improper flow.

phil, quick question, i'm getting a engine management light on, then when looking into vag-com, it says n112 improper flow, or something along those lines, are you getting this?? its bypassed now, but still electrically connected. i've got the resisitor to get rid of it totally now, but not sure if its gonna still put up a engine management light?

cheers mate

so is it possible to remove the SAI and the EVAP (Carbon Canister) and not get a CEL light at all? i understand this means using some resistors etc and will throw up codes on Vag Com, if it is possible to do this without the Engine Light coming on then this is something i would like to do :)
