trying to get my sub and amp installed and i have got stuck

managed to get the power cable in to the car but i am now stuck with trying to remove the plastic trim under the door so i can hide the cable up to the rear

how do i get it off?

Thanks

Smee

pull it up its prety tight but will come out just start at front of the car and every few cm's lift it up

yep just prise the front up and keep pulling up every so often and it will souynd like a ripping sound due to they type of clips they are

yup just pull it all off, mines routed perfectly so you can't see it at all :)
Also i think i read something about doing the power down one side and the RCA on the other- to do with the power lead interfering with the audio signal

ive routed all mine down the same side no problems and its so much easier than going down drivers side with all the steering wheel in the way!

ok i just finished what a nightmare

cables down both sides of car

couldnt get teh trim up just poked it under lol

thanks for the help guys

p.s on a sub line i have voice coming out the sub is this bad or normal

you should hear very slight tweet coming from sub but not enough to notice unless right up to it on low volume

Theres no need to route RCA's and Power cables on opposite sides-if you use good quality cables (you should anyway!) then they'll be insulated and you wont get any interference.
Anyone routed wires into the glovebox? Need to put my pioneer ipod adapter in there

it makes a huge difference if you run your power cables down one side and rca's etc on the other side... even if you have quality cable ( i do) but then again ive ran 5 power cables under the handbrake trim and under the back seats. even tho the cables are well insulated there is still interference...
i can hear my power steering pump through my speakers lol

I was just giving my own experience-never had any problems, but may its because my amps are only 250W.
5 Power cables-what kinda system are you running off that lot? :wtf:

not reciting satanic verses is it ? :p

depends on the amp filter/xover settings - lowering the threshold can get rid of them its just sounds at certain frequencies - dont panic
