Replacement Air Filter Unit

Ok so when i was looking at fixing my rear jets i've noticed a crack in the side of the air filter housing, so im looking to replace it, just finding 100quid for a replacement from seat a bit steep.

Any recommendations on what to fit instead??

My Car is Ibiza FR TDI, mapped to 182BHP and 305lbs torque

Take out the whole box and replace it with a small halfords cone filter.
Fraction of the cost and it'll sound lovely!

Theres lots on FR TDi's getting broken on ebay. Send 1 of the guys an e-mail about the airbox and im sure it will be alot less than SEAT themselves.

Buy yourself a tube of "PERMAPOXY" - if it's good enough for repairing motorbike fairings etc - it's good enough to repair a plastic airbox.

Then you can take your time deciding what to do with the filter/housing.
