I have the chance of 2 factory-installed xenon headlamps from a breaker. Anyone know if its a straight plug in job or if much wiring or reprogramming is required? Tried to find a xenon-equipped model to look at but we have none for sale :(

On a slightly different note, the condensation in my headlamps has turned into water droplets which wont go away, Im starting to get REALLY [:@]:censored:

I have read on here it is a bit of a pain in the arse to sort out the headlight washers etc but has been done I think.

There are a few posts on it over the last month or so.

oops should have done a search first :redface:
im not fussed on the headlamp washers but would really like the proper lights to replace my HID's. They are a whole different thread lol

dan the washers are gone anyway, the bumper was scrap im afraid. im lucky the lamps are ok but it might be to much grief to fit them

be careful with the headlights from scrap. if the car was in a bump they might steam up aswell. my car was involved in a bump, pretty minor but did move headlight. everything looked fine, but steam up like hell :( not sure if there is anyway to test seals before fitting. had to get a new headlight unit for mine. mine are just normal headlight unit not xenon. but would like to fit projector lense headlight unit when it's available.

couldnt be any worse than my standard lights with water running down the inside of the lenses [:@] c'mon SEAT sort it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

light units and the control units - ballasts or igniters, not sure the proper name for them. they are on a car i spotted in their yard when i was taking stuff to them. rear end is shunted and front a light bump so its written off. pity its not a cupra . . . . . . . .
