After saying bye to my cupra yesterday i went out this morning to tax the LCR. Excited as i was i went for a quick spin. I took it nice and easy as its been offf the road for nearly 6 months now, and as soon as i put my foot down past 2500 revs i heard a woooosh noise all of a sudden and no boost . Pulled over a checked if a pipe had come off and all seemed ok but still no turbo.

Popped to harris down my road and we both agreed it might be the N75 valve that is shot.

Liquid gauge flagged up errors: 17705 and 17956 which relates to N75.

Im gutted really as iv been waiting months to drive her and it does this to me :(

The Cupra looked a lovely car mate, but I really have a soft spot for red LCR's. With the right wheels and stance they can look absolutely epic :) The N75 failing is a pain but fitting a new one will really be a good thing to do mate. Mine failed on mine nearly 2 years ago and the boost gauge was showing 2 bar on full WOT, I did this about twice and never again as I got worried about the rods!

Not seen that oil cap before bud, but it looks fine.

What are the plans for the R? Any big ones? Do you have a list? :D

Thanks Tom, the red looks so much better in real life and i cant believe how easy it is to clean, black was such a pain!!

2 bar thats mental mate. Will mine be alright for a few days until i get a new one??

Iv got a couple of days off this month so will be going to SRB power in lakeside and see if they will let me test fit an XXR 527 wheel before i buy em. Apart from that and coilovers its just maintaining the car really. Im trying to get it to your standard but im a long way yet :D

I'm sure you'll really appreciate the colour change with regard to car cleaning over time more and more mate!

Tbh once I knew the N75 was dead on mine I stopped driving the car. If you can do this I'd say so, but if you must use it just go easy and don't let it spike in boost to anything silly which can cause rod damage etc, but I don't think you're the sort to hammer it around if there's an issue with the car. Spikes in boost are just what you don't want! I got my N75 off a skodaparts seller on ebay for about £48 I think but it's been good as gold since and the boost gauge peaks at 1.5/6 bar absolute tops on WOT.

Wheel choice is good mate they look awesome but interested to see how/if they will fit. Hope they do mate, something different :) LOL cheers, I'm happy with mine now but it's been a long journey and the new wheels haven't even been ordered yet, lol.

No worries mate. Just take it easy and she'll be fine, worth keeping an eye on the LG for sure to make sure all is ok. I really need one of those still! Argh! More money..

I had two back up sets of wheels mate. If you want other suggestions I can happily suggest these to you, one set however are £1800 or so, can't remember if that's with or without tyres  But I was thinking about buying them. Lol. I've got a date pencilled in for ordering the new wheels mate don't worry ;) Won't be long.

Honestly its such a good kit, id be lost without it.

Appreciate that as well mate, dont think i could spend £1800 on wheels though, probably top out at 1k-1200k with tyres
Exciting times though, whats next after your wheels then??

Bugger you and your liquid gauge :p Need one!

Sounds about right with tyres mate, I'm not spending much more than that for mine. For me, nothing major, car will be pretty much done then. The end! Lol.

As long as you dont recommend expensive stuff ;) Im not that rich lol

never liked red cars, but the more and more pics i see of them on here the more and more i like them. Think that looks spot on mate.

Same here iv never been a fan of red cars but theres something about a red LCR which made me want one so bad.
Thanks for the comment though mate :D
