Needs to be machine polished mate borderline between polish and paint it!
Been advised it will buff out!
If it doesnt will just have to paint it

Longlife 3 from the dealer or TPS. Or the Millers stuff, but it's rather pricey.

Nice car by the way. Pretty sure 90% of that scratch will buff out.

For hard driving rather use 5W40 instead of 5W30 ;-)

Assuming you change it regularly, neither will be better than the others. So if it meets the vw spec, I'd buy the cheapest.
I usually get mine from euro. It's about £15 for 5 litres, meets the specs, and it's never in the car very long. There was virtually no wear to the internals after 120k miles so I guess it was doing it's job
