right im new to this forum and need some major help

ive got a 2004 seat leon cupra 180bhp model and the engine managment light has come on so took it to a garage and they said it was running way to rich so they replaced my lambda sensor then it was fine but as i went to collect it i started it up and the engine light came on again so they are now replacing the part with a genuine seat one rather than bosch this has happened three times could there be anything else that is causing it to run rich ? as im running out of money :( any help would be much apreciated :)

I know exactly how you feel having had the same issue with my old LC:) (EML light on, diagnostics said it was running rich each time).

Thought it could have been various things - a split breather hose under the engine cover, dodgy coolant temperature sender and knackered thermostat. Changed each of these in turn and following the thermostat replacement never had the problem again. Next (and most expensive!) stop would have been the lambda sensor.

Not sure if the same solution will work for you but the stat is less than a tenner, CTS and breather hose were about £30 each

did a diagnostic test thingy not with a laptop tho, only way i can describe it is its a very big brick with a tiny screen ? they did this three times and whenever i started it up to drive off it came back with the same fault code which ive left on the bill sheet so dont know it sorry :( but im goin back tomox hopefully when theyve fitted the seat part but if it still comes up ill get my money back cos so far ive spent 280 quid on two lamba sensors that did jack i think ill mention the things that PAS suggested see what they say, but im thinking would a vw/ seat main dealer be more helpfull ? as atm im using a specialist ?

Mine has had this problem
For the last month. Have replaced the cts. I think I have a leak in a hose under the inlet manifold. U clear the code and turn the light off and it comes
Back after 50 miles.

That's your problem then m8. I had the same problem. Basically what happens, your car losses air and because the car fuels for the amount of air that is measured by the maf, when the air is lost, there becomes too much fuel resulting in running rich. So the answer is, fit the blanking plate and run 100% recirculating, job done, can't believe the garage you went to didn't know that.
