Hi

i stupidly scraped the rear arch comin out
of my garage, i now have a 6" x 0.5" graze, taken off paint and down to metal

does anyone have any experience of chips away, i have it booked in for thurs,
are thay any good?

they have quoted 200 quid to repair this aswell as a scuff on the front bumper

please assure me im better off doing this than spending hundreds at a body shop:confused:

I've always seen these guys working outside...

That means that dirt, dust, damp can get in while painting.

Since it's metal that needs painting, I'd want to make sure it was done perfectly so it wasn't rusting through in six months

Having worked in a bodyshop for a number of years I'd be very surprised if you have gone right down to bear metal without actually denting the panel?

Is it on the small bit of the arch near the rear door? the dog leg type bit? thats the only bit I'd consider having blown in by a smart repairer.

I'd say £200 was a good price tho theres a fair bit of time and prep required to pain things.
