Just wondering, what kind of sealant do exhaust company use, when fitting new exhaust then applying sealant to prevent leaks.

Any sample of brands used?

When applying the gum gum, is it best to stick it on when the exhaust is hot or when it cold (overnight standing)?

They sell it in halfrauds same shape as the pic :)

The instructions come with... I think it does mention running engine for a bit then leave over night..(don't do what I did and forget to put the gasket in!!)

Yeah it's alright it's got a shelf life though!

It's currently sealing up my exhaust wear it was blowing around the jions from cold!

It's defiantely messy stuff so wear gloves

I've found it too be abit tempremental though, it works best if you work it onto a hot exhaust as it sets more or less straight away, as other wise if it's not completely hardened when you start it up the gases just force it out of the way and you've got to do it all over again !!
