Hey guys!

Just joined the club with a 2021 Arona FR Red! I've already picked up a ton of great stuff from you all on this forum, so thanks heaps for that!

I'm having a bit of a tricky time with this SEAT Connect login though. Whenever I try to make a new user or log in, I keep getting this 'Unable to load user profile' error. SEAT suggested I tweak my privacy settings, but every time I try, I either get stuck on a loading screen or receive another error saying "Privacy settings and services" are currently unavailable.

I gave factory resetting and the long-press reset a go, but it didn't seem to do the trick...

SEAT said they passed it on to their tech team about a week ago, but I haven't heard anything back just yet.

Any suggestions or tips from you guys would be super appreciated! Thanks!

SEAT Tech support said a service centre need to perform a TPI 2063002 (What ever that is) if it still doesnt work they will repalce it

@East Yorkshire Retrofits are good at looking these up and saying what they are. Connect cars are like a pack of cards if all bits of the systems aren't right they collapse. Lead to believe that VAG is getting on top of these issues now. Leon 4 and Formentor were the prime example of these on Seat. Any VAG car with the MQB Evo platform. Next inline is the mib3 infotainment system which is on all VAG cars from the 2020 model line up. Yours is one of those and the emergency distress unit in the roof if you got one of those. So you can get the full can of worms with an MQB Evo car or the reduced set with just mib3 and that warning system only. As said these issues are being fixed but obviously any early examples of these knocking about in the supply chain or secondhand may need some sorting out.

On your first this is where people say make sure your dealer does that login before you leave. It's probably one they are suppose to take you through but may skip with second intuition ?.

Hi Greenfoot,

I had the same issue. I brought my Arona to official service they didn't have a clue how to fix it. The car was still under factory warranty but according to them software issues are not covered - it is imported car so they were just trying to get rid of me.

So I reached out to Seat support , which turned out to be a huge mistake because all i was getting from them is that I need to change the privacy settings and it took me 6-7 months and who knows how many mails to get to the right person there who understood the issue and informed the garage what needs to be done.

When picking up the car from the garage the front desk guy was like yeah we fixed your issue you are welcome... And it was not fixed.

Yesterday I ordered the fw update pack from the East Yorkshire guys, installed it just now and everything works without any issue. I can access and change privacy settings.

I hope the issue with your infotainment system is already fixed but in case someone else has the same problem the solution is really simple thanks to East Yorkshire Retrofits.

Hi guys newbie here
I have bought a 2021 Seat Ateca FR and for thr love of god it doesnt seem to add a primary user.
SEAT support recommend TPI 2063002 and I was at the dealership today where they serviced the car but ignored this issue which was my main concern but they are saying I need an update and 2 days!
Anyone know how i can force this update? Ive paid the subscription for the cars data sim which was a waste of money and connected it on wifi but no go past go
Any help would be appreciated

The update(s) will probably be for the infotainment system and SOS module, chances are if you can't get the car to add a primary user then you won't be able to carry out most OTA updates. It'll be a job for a dealer or specialist.

It needs updating online really, the telematics module needs parameterising after the update.

We can sort any/all outstanding updates at the workshop
We're legally unable to distribute software update files

I think they have you buying a small box that connects to the Internet for remote access. I've seen it mentioned to others in East Yorkshire posts. Mind you it might not be for the procedure you need. Could have been a different procedure. Not testing my board search skills:unsure:.

Driving me mad i wanted the full functionality even paid for the data subscription which hasnt used any data so that was a waste of money

I'd message Kieran or he'll come up here. Had a search around where he said if you buy xyz I can do it. It's an interface box that allows remote access. You'd have to put that cost against going there but may be for the procedure it's offline so that little box wouldn't work. Gives them remote access to the obd port. They might have a contractual obligation that you have to be onsite. Pass. I should have bookmarked what he said. I know I googled what the interface was and found it.

Ah I reckon its this and you provide the box at your end

Got there in the end. Might be alternative interfaces.

It came up in a conversation with someone who was abroad who wanted a remote fix. Something that people do in Turkey. Cars shipped with the equipment but software un-enabled. Maps in that case and the Middle East. The hardware is fitted. The SWAP / FeC codes missing. Maps available. Dealers show the cars with mib3 maps which they have enabled out the back. The customer takes delivery, no Maps. Sorry sir we dont do it. Then they find a retrofitter. That particular part of the world is funny about maps. Border disputes and no connected services. At that point you need links back to the mothership now everything is strapped down and controlled.

No warranty as its a 2021 plate and when i spoke to them yesterday they were not helpful basically said its 2 days to do the TPI work
So im sure 2 days at a dealer is going to be a tidy sum of cash
