He seems impressed! Shame he didn't take some photos of the cars to add to the feature rather than using press shots. Unless there are some on his website? I haven't got round to checking that out yet.

Yeah, I'm really liking the blue one, it features in a couple of vids I've seen.
Is it Speed Blue or the expensive blue?

I think its the speed blue. ''The expensive blue'' as ya put it is'nt metallic. Someone correct me if im wrong,...

I can't believe the Galia Blue is over £500, it looks just like the Lazuli Blue on mk2 and mk3 Ibizas which was a flat no cost colour IIRC.
I do like the Galia but depending on whether Speed Blue is £370 like in the brochure or £540 on the website would be the issue for me as I like the new Beezer in blue. The orange looks great too but I'm about 20 years too old for that!

P*sses me off how manufacturers basically charge extra for any colour now. Years ago metallics & pearlescents were extra & flat colours all FOC....robbing b@stards!

Theres only 3 (I think) flat colours they charge for. It makes them a little more special I suppose, there'd be less of them around...

must admit it's a bit wierd sounding and dumb first off out of bends (hairpin especially) but the grunt 60 upwards seems pretty healthy and she don't hang about mind

He goes on about the brakes, but doesn`t mention if they are the standard ones or the upgrade ones:confused:
I should imagine the standard ones will be 312mm and the others look like the ones fitted to the previous cupra, seat sport ones....
Be interesting to see what that one had....

That's one way of looking at it, my way would be that it's £540 down the drain as there's no way you'd see any of it back come resale time.

As that car is one of four brought in by SEAT to do the rounds of the dealers, demos and press tests I reckon it'd be pretty much full spec, £1000 brakes and all.

That would be savage :D

actually, i'd quite like to see the 1.6tdi vs 1.6 petrol vs cupra to see just how much of a difference there is between the normal versions and the cupra. Not just an out and out drag race but on a top gear track lap it'd be interesting

And the 1.9tdi aswel just to see if its behind the 1.6crtdi

Listening to that dsg box in that vid and the way it never seems to be in the right gear, ie constantly kicking down, would drive me completely up the wall.

But sure if it was in manual mode ya'd be able to select what gear ya want wouldn't ya???
