high revs are fun. Audi R8 V10 revs up to 8700rpm.

Only when you have money to throw away.

I think this thread has showed me that the Ibiza is more suited to my needs.

I was contemplating buying either the Seat Ibiza 1.8 20VT Cupra or the Honda Civic Type R or S, or the Skoda Fabia vRS.

Seat Ibiza for me I think.

Hope you all have a great xmas tomorrow.

To throw a spanner in the worx a Skoda VRS handles better than a Beeza with the same engine.

I'd rather have the extra 30bhp from the BPX Cupra engine and it's accessories tho!

The 1.8T Cupra is half the price of the Type R GT, so I know which one I would go for :) If money isn't an issue (and it's petrol you want), then just test drive the Type R GT and the Cupra and decide for yourself.

240 bhp with out a high flow mani is a pipe dream also ...nuff said

what I cant get my head around is how you are considering cars that are sorta totally different, in age price and class!

money thrown away depends on how mch you love driving and your amount of mileage.

I have a Fabia VRS.

I chose it above the Ibiza because of the better ride quality, more space, and better quality interior.

Though I do think the facelift FR looks better.

Never driven the cupra but have the type r gt. I have a facelift fr and after driving the civic, it is most definitely in a different league with build quality, interior etc

If you haven't test driven the type r, get down to your local garage as I was offered brand new gt with 3k off the showroom price. Wasn't interested in buying, just wanted a test drive. awesome car.

type r is a different league handling wise stock vs stock.

Get a leon cupra ;)

No it doesnt. Its heavier, lard arse ;) However does have a slightly thicker ARB on the front, by 1mm, but weights in at 100KG's more or so...

weird comparison the honda is bigger and newer but is obviously going to be better, but like every one has said you can get 300+bhp out of an ibiza and tweak them for so much cheaper.
If it was a choice one or the other i think it would be honda as it is obviously the better car and a hell of a lot of fun, but value for money you CANNOT beat the cupra you can pick them up for peanuts!

A remap leon cupra makes over 300hp. Its the obvious choice mate! ;)

we are talking ibiza here. Track a type r and leon and you will find the honda is alot of fun.. i'm talking standard form

not many people track their cars and the leon cupra is also alot of fun. On public roads a type r wont stand a chance though ;)
