The Leon has room for other VAG parts on the underside.
Here's my Leon FR ST Facelift with parts from other VAG-brands applied to its underside:

Red: Front suspension cover (5WA407117 + 5WA407118).
Green: Tiguan front exhaust tunnel cover (5Q0825229C). Decreased road noise to the cockpit and improved mileage slightly on my car.
Pink: Rear exhaust tunnel cover (5Q0825206J).
Light blue: Golf 8 axle cover (5WA501715A)
Dark blue: Golf 8 suspension arm cover (5Q0 501 559C or D and 5Q0 501 560C or D). After installing this, the rear area of the car became much more quiet.

NB: the parts aren't colored like this, they are just black. I colored them in Photoshop for the sake of clarity.

Are these all made of plastic? Also have you coloured them (for the sake of clarity)?

Are these not stone protection kits rather than aero parts?

There is also an Audi RS3 brake duct that fits on to of the front lower arm.

Only the rear suspension covers (dark blue) are mostly for protection, the others are all to cover up holes to make sure the bottom is flat.

Of course they all protect the underside as well, but the 'real' protective covers are more sturdy than these. For instance the engine cover at the left of the picture, there's a heavy duty version available, which is much thicker than the factory version. And the front exhaust tunnel cover has a full metal variant. Both are optional VAG parts (although I don't know the numbers).

I've measured some mileage improvements over time, as well as noise reduction. There's a bunch of covers for the rear multilink suspension cars as well, but I have no experience in those.

There's a huge topic on golfmk7.com about this:

Hello,
Sorry for digging up this thread.
I bought an FR ST 1.6 TDI, and am planning to install these aero covers.
@Chillout could you tell me if the green cover on the catalyst converter is still ok after almost 1 year? Or did it get damaged by the heat?
Also my car is missing the cover under the addblue tank, on the passenger side. I saw that all ST models after 2018 don't have the cover. Does anyone know if the old cover fits, and was removed to save costs? Or does the new addblue tank interfere?

Kind regards,
Alberico

It's still doing fine. The cover is fitted with a metal heatshield from the factory, so that helps.

Do you have any pictures of the adblue tank cover?

Thank you.
The cover is this one. After 2018 it is only applied to petrol cars. Possibly it interferes with the new adblue tank, but I am not sure.

The panel on the right side was already there on my car. I installed the speaker from the soundbooster underneath it:

I recently got a cover that should fit in the gap between the gasoline tank and exhaust, but I'm not convinced it would fit. Will report back

@Chillout , did you use 2 screws for the "pink" cover?
It only comes with one square nut so I only used 1 screw on poition 1.
Did you put another nut and screw in hole nº2?

need 2x N90959101 and 2x N90974701
Thanks,
But on ETKA, it only indicates the need for 1 rivet "N0385494" and 1 bolt "N90974701". Supposedly the cover has all the other necessary parts already.
Searching online for used covers, they only have 1 square nut attached.
If they were attached with 2 square nuts and 2 bolts, wouldn't these "used" parts also have them attached?

I also got a cover with one, but I bought the second one and turned it into two. I preferred to improve the factory :D
Thanks, nothing against that :)
I was only looking to know if only 1 bolt is correct, since I only used 1 on my car.
I am worried if it is sufficient or not :)

since the manufacturer so provided, it should withstand - there is a screw, a pin and a clamping washer on the other side, so it will not fall off ;)

Great thread this, I’m very interested n the exhaust tunnel covering for me
R ST

The thread on the golfmk7.com states 4WD cars can only use small exhaust tunnel covering which is a shame.
5Q0825229C is only for 2wd cars

Anyone got any experience of fitting any of these parts on a 4wd ST ??

There is no full exhaust tunnel. One guy made his own, but got overheating issues.
