We both have to get bolts etc for upper brace ,was going to get stainless ones to minimise possible corrosion problems and make sure bare metal has a good coat of paint before fitment. Andy

So has anyone got any pics of them fitted to the leon?
Would like ot know how much of an effect it has on the handling cause £55 ain't much if it tightens up the chassis a bit :)

Hi.
I have a question to ask about putting a aluminum strut brace.
I know from Chemistry, that when two metals are in touch, and there is water( or moisture) between them, rusting begins. When the metals are iron and aluminum, iron will rust.
So, if we put a aluminum strut brace isn"t there danger of rusting the car?
Theodore.

Thats why we glue the strut in place rather than drill holes, prime the hole, place strut in place & seal with sealent, (Undersill goo);)

Well the second part is what I'm planning to do....

yes, use something between parts as mentioned by Stu B. Since my car is black I used black silicone.

If you want a good, high quality 'bling' brace then it has to be the Weichers/AAT polished alloy strut brace. Just be prepared to wait 2-3 months for delivery! Fitting mine soon (images show trial fit)!
