No its definately the S3 brace I have, as fitted by many to Golfs.
What's the part no? I'll check it out.
Bit tricky to take a piccie of the lower one cos you'd need the car in the air to take a pic. There's only one place it fits, the holes are already there. Its just behind the line of the front wheels right in the middle. Its easy to fit once you've worked out how the Rivnuts work

Chris S3 no is A8L9 805 629 A ,TT no sent out 8NO 805 629 B,dealer just ordered another one and when it arrived yesterday no was also wrong.Main stores are checking how many are wrong, will get a update on Monday. How did you fix the rivets,as they are very loose in the holes? Andy.

I have now received the correct strut brace,it fits my A3 perfectly and it also fits my mates Leon R perfectly .If you order one make sure the part in the packaging is the correct part no,better still tell the dealer to check it when it arrives which saves a wasted trip.Good luck guys.:D :cheers:Andy

Hmmm, decisions decisions...

Do I fit the S3 upper brace, which I know fits (cheers Andy  ), or do I hunt out a chrome one, or do I hunt out a red one to match my samco hoses (once I fit them!!).

Decisions decisions...

What do you guys recon?

Lower brace on now ,easy once you work out how to fit expanding nut inserts,i just used a pair of mole grips on the edge of the flat part of insert ,put spacers smaller than insert on the bolt. Then put insert into hole in subframe ,you cant mistake which ones it only lines up with two, holding grips and keeping insert flat in the hole tighten bolt with spanner which expands nut in the hole. When tight remove grips and bolt, take off spacers and fit brace .EASY.Have got to get some stainless bolts and nuts for top brace now before i can fit. Andy.

Picked up my upper and lower braces this morning... just need to fit them sometime now...

Must say, the black colour on them is a very good match to that of the ebony LCR's!! :D

What was that about bolts Andy?? Thought we were going to use sticky pads??

I don't think you will be fitting them Rog,thats a far to scary thought :yikes: probably be me or Mike.Just have to work out my hourly rate **** that will be about £25 an hour mate.;) Andy

I'm sure I'm being a dumbass, but can find the part number for the lower brace to fir the Leon anywhere?

As far as fitting goes, has anyone asked their dealer to fit them? Any warranty issues?

Also, what do insurance companies think of these mods?

S3 lower front brace part no 8no199403b
top brace no 8L9-805-629-A

From your friendly Audi dealer. Oh, for the lower brace you'll also need:

2x cap nuts n90810601
2x screw n10417601
2x washers n90477301

Bottom brace easy peasy to fit, so ANDY BLUNT tells me, top one requires a drill...

As for insurance, erm... dunno. Warranty... depends on your dealer, but I think all that would be affected is your bodywork warranty around where you drill the holes for the top brace - nothing else (bottom brace holes are already there!!)
