comeing up to my secound service on a 1.8t 07,cant seem to find my service book . any one know whats needed to carry out the service..oil.. filter...ect...thanks

Apart from the usual inspection stuff, it should just be the oil+filter and pollen filter. Probably worth doing the brake fluid too if it hasn't beed changed yet.

Just a quick query as to what the average cost of a 20k service on a seat ibiza 2007 should be and what parts are included in the service, been quoted about £280 for an oil change and a brake fluid change which i think is extortionate.

Would my Warranty be affected if i were to have the car serviced by a local independent garage who use genuine seat parts?

2nd Service

Had my 2nd year service on my formula sport today. cost £226 at my local seat dealership. still very expensive as my car has only done 8000 miles.

as long as they use SEAT approved parts then your warranty shouldn't be void...but don't hold me to that as some dealers can be ratty about services not being carried out by a SEAT/VW approved garage
