Havent updated this thread in a while. Nothing to report, cleaned her at the weekend but the upgrades have stopped for a while. Ive hit 2k on the clock so I am now ragging the sh8t out of her everyday to and from work - its awesome! Bad news is that the number of rattles in the car is increasing and driving me crazy. Im obsessed with wheels at the minute, looking at options for either new rims or getting mine dipped and changed to anthracite / black

Sounds like your taming the beast and enjoying the motor (what mpg are you getting)?
I just wanted to ask quickly, what issues have you faced with the LCR thus far - in relation to the rattles? It worries me, i can't wait to get mine in the next 2-3 months (still on order/being built) but hope it's not going to be a noisy affair i.e a visit to the stealers every time due to poor build and nuisance rattles!
BTW - I reckon a dark anthracite/gunmetal finish on the standard 19" Potenza rims will suit the speed blue for sure

Im obsessed with wheels at the minute, looking at options for either new rims or getting mine dipped and changed to anthracite / black
I'm the same, I cannot help thinking they should have come out the factory anthracite / black. The Silver is just boring and doesn't complement the wheels or the car.
Wheels & Springs are the first mods on the list for my R.

Mpg is not bad, can be hitting 34 on a motorway trip but generally about 16 round the town. The longer the drive the better obviously. Im averaging 23mpg but you didnt buy it for economy!
Rattles are not that bad, I have two that I am obsessed with because I cannot figure out where they are coming from! One is in the back somewhere, like a click every now and again. The other is new - its like a high pitched sound. Heard it this morning but didnt on the way home with the music blasting!
I looked at getting it lowered but it didn't seem worth it for a pitiful 1 or 2cm. Its already quite a hard ride and I was told it would only be worse with lowering

ive got a couple o rattles as well; the usual centre air vent gremlin at certain speeds, one 'in' the glovebox somewhere and one from left hand A piller i think. The wee grill effort at interior lights at front also does my head in, sometimes... its no better or worse than my old pre FL FR i suppose. Anyway how is the Bluefin holding up boss? No issues with plugs or clutch etc as yet? Hope its as good as last reported,
Looking forward to some pics of the dipped / new wheels as you will have to do it now that its in yer mind : )

Hi mate mine has just turned 4k and I have 1 rattle which appears to be coming from the gloss black section on the rear of the passenger front seat. Either that or the pillar only noticeable when going over cats eyes in the road when overtaking and let's face it they do that well.

Cool - would like to see the speakers. Isn't it about time you got a RR thread going?
What speakers are you putting in as I find the standard one a bit lacking in the bass region.
I also have a rattle coming from inside the auto dimming rear view mirror, but cannot work out how to take the mirror apart. Its like a metallic rattle and that does my head in.
Also just been REVOd on tuesday and its superb. Lots of mid-range torque and more shove at the top now. With boost on 9 its crazy so backed it off to boost 7 and its much more drivable (doesnt spin the wheels in the dry at 4000rpm
)Also S.E.C.T i was looking at getting my rims powdercoated gloss black, i got a quote from SEM in sunderland for £240 including stripping the tyres from the rim and re-fitting also them supplying a set of rims/tyres for me whilst they are being done.
Who have you looked at for powder coating?

I bought some JBL speakers used them in the past and was impressed. Once fitted if they are any good I'll post the model number on here. I would then change the rears to match.
Power wise my revised bluefin map is awesome yeah traction when hitting 4k in 3rd and 4th on a wet road can be difficult.

Probably getting rattles due to the harshness of the ride with having 19's with low profile tyres (I find the 18's one the limit for harshness).
As for wheel refurbs in the NE I always use Romax in Stockton - they're excellent (had a few issues over the years with SEM.

What price I am looking at to get 4 rims powder coated in gloss black, are they around the same price as what SEM's are.
Lovely car, saw one pretty much the same at my local seat garage few weeks back. What engine does the new FR have?? what brake does it push out??
