Have you done anything else to her? My local dealership has a yellow 1 which I'm looking at Saturday afternoon not sure if it's worth going from a Cupra 2 a Cupra R but we will see Saturday

Dont know if this is aimed at me or S.E.C.T?
If me only other thing I have done is fitted aforge spacer which is quite enjoyable. Not as noisy as I thought but alright to live with.
I have also ordered a Milltek exhaust too.
As for changing your Cupra for an R well it depends how good your own is.
I love my R but to be honest I kind of miss my old FR. The interior is stunning and all the options but I like sitting low and find the leather seats don't go as low as I'd like.
Performance when standard was not as quick as my old mapped FR but thats sorted now.
I also found the exhaust note very quiet for a Cupra R hence why I have ordered my Milltek.
All I'm saying is drive it and go with your gutt feeling as its alot of money to change:cry:
Like I say I love my R but would I do the same again:shrug:

How doo folks, Ive been away a little while so havent made any changes yet. Got mudflaps to fit over the next week so will get some pics up of them. Then it will be Miltek like Kev above and finally anthracite wheels. Not really sure what Im doing after that.

Ryan, I went from an FR to an R, very happy I did so. I agree with Kev about the seats, they don't go low and that has taken some getting used to but I honestly have no other complaints. Brings a smile to my face every time I drive her. The difference between a Cupra and R is not that big so like Kev says take one for a spin and try before you buy :thumbup:
 
Yeah mate the smile factor is great although I'm already thinking of my next mod. Maybe lowered on a set of sportlines.
After seeing craigd's R with black wheels I'm now interested in seeing yours with anthracite.
How long till you do your wheels?

Quite a while - going to wait until spring. I am getting some pics of an R with anthracite wheels of my dealer though so will post on here when he pings them through.

I looked into lowering the car not long after buying it but found it would only drop about 1-2cm and the ride is meant to be extremely hard
 
I don't mind the ride or height as it is but I find the shape of the front bumper makes the car look high.
Wouldn't do the mk1 splitter either.
My FR was so low it just takes a little getting used to.

I know what you mean Kev. I considered a cup spoiler but they are pretty expensive. Not sure whether it would fit the FL front either :think:
 
Yeah not to sure of the cup spoiler either. Don't know if it will fit the facelift Leon?
Probably end up with sportlines eventually to drop the front end slightly.

I have been thinking about Stage 2 but I went for Bluefin and currently there does not appear to be a Stage 2 map
 
Lovely R. Same colour and spec as mine. One question for you, do you have a link to the DRL LED bulbs you fitted? Did you ever get sorted with number plate LEDS that work?

I had been meaning to do an update to my RR. All is well, nothing new to report. Im enjoying blasting home from work around the country lanes with the Xenons lighting the way. They really are bloody brilliant!

One concern though, I seem to be experiencing a lot of wheelspin lately. To be fair I am accelerating very hard these days now the miles are creeping up. Im wondering whether I need to consider new tyres - I've only covered 4k so I don't think its wear (and it doesn't look like wear either). I think this could be to do with the power that the map is throwing out
 
Nothing of any significance to update on this thread. I have a rattle that is doing my head in. Im planning on investigating tomorrow, seems to come on when I accelerate hard - i do this all the time so its pretty constant! Its either the middle or passenger side vent. Probs will end up going to the dealer but thought I would have a poke around first. Other than this mystery nothing interesting is happening. Im preparing for Crimbo so no more spending on the car until the new year :(
