Since i have serial diagnostic cable and that i can not use the use to serial converter due to baud rate issue.

Im thinking of getting a pcmcia card for the latop with a serail port on it. will this method work? any suggestions plz

True but we have a few bmw cables which are serial ports, so asuming this will work both ways for vag cars and bmw as well.
