Exactly the same thing has happened to mine over the weekend.
15,100 miles and I can now see a spanner symbol and the word "oil" on the mileometer for a couple of minutes after starting the car.
It's going in for warranty work tomorrow so had thought to have the first service at the same time.
Perrys want £200 to service it.
When I mentioned the mileage/warranty thing to them they told me it was no problem!
In fact a while back when I asked them about having a service they advised me to have an oil change at 7 months and have the service at 12 months.
Can't help thinking the 10,000 mile thing is a bit of a con.
I'd pretty much need to have a service every 6 months.
Apart from doing an oil and filter change what's worth £200 on a first service?
