yeh because im half way through an insurance year i am gonna stick with my current insurer until renewal in january, then shop around to see if i can get it cheaper.

£1300 is fully comp, i wouldnt want to go tpft on a £10k+ car!!

and as for colour - platinum grey is what i want :D

Before the LCR I had had two Pugs, a 106 1.1:redface: first car then a 106 GTI. Both were great cars at the time but nothing like the LCR. If it build quality you are worried about then its 100 times better than a Pug.
All in all in every way owning a LCR is much much better than a Pug appart from 1. The GTI I had was lowered 30mm with big wheels and boy could it handle. If you are used to a good handling Pug then make sure and set aside some tinkering money because initially you will be disappointed with the handling, but only if you are used to a very good handling car.
A good set of springs and shocks will be about £500 and that will make it feel fantastic.
Also as everyone has said if you spend £4 -5,000 you will have an awesome machine and the more you read on here the more you will change and spend.
For that money you can wave goodbye to alot of very serious cars:wave:

I was looking for a decent priced LCR in platinum grey for ages. They do not seem to come up very often. Be careful, some are overpriced because dealers know they are sought after. Especially on the south coast - thats why I drove to Oxford to pick up mine.

Keep an eye out and if you are not in a rush the right one will come along. Let us know what you end up getting.

Happy looking!:)

all i will say is you could be lucky and you could be unlucky if you start to tune it i would say dont expect the standard parts to cope for long so expect to start paying out after u start tuning. Keeping it standard i dont know i only kept mine standard for 3 weeks. Finally i would say no matter how much money you spend on her or how much she could be a pain in the ass you will love her to bits everytime u put ur foot down and everytime u look out the window at her cos they are easily one of the best looking hot hatches

Im paying 1200 full comp , im 23 and ive only got 2 years ncb , so considering the car is group 17 im not doing too bad ! should go down in october when i get 3 year ncb .
As for petrol if i drive mine hard and i get 220ish miles out of a tank of V-power .
