I've just been changing the bulbs on my lcr but am having trouble changing the side light bulbs. I'm at the stage "Remove bulb holder from reflector" but can't see any clips to remove it. Does anyone have a tip on how to do it?

Cheers

It more or less just pulls out. What I tend so do it grab it with a rag to the sharp edges of the clip don't dig in so much, then pull while wiggling it around like hell.

I've just managed to get them replaced. There was a clip either side of the bulb and with a small screw driver I was able to unclip each side, still a right pain to do. I bet they have a tool that can unclip them in seconds at seat garages.

The whole process is still much easier than on my old celica though. Some people found it easier to unscrew the whole headlight unit to change a bulb.

I changed the sidelight bulbs on my TDI 150 LC in about 10 minutes. They just pulled out with a bit of jiggling and tugging as they were really tight.Replacements went in easy though so I presume they had never needed changing from new {3 and a half years} Had no problems with any clips though.Unless I was just lucky.

I didn't have any issues apart from cutting my knuckles and grazing them on part of the light. Just had to get a good grip and pull quite hard till it came out.

I changed mine for the Philips Blue Vision Sidelight W5W bulbs and they look great. They do not give off blue light at all but simply clear crystal white light rather then the OEM Yellow glow.

this is a bugger of a job, i've done it before and i've just bought hid's so will have to change them again for white led's as they are the only thing that matches the colour from the hid's, not looking forward to scraping my nuckles again i tell you.
