Size inside?

Im new, so pardon me if this is the wrong forum.

I am thinking about getting a Seat Ibiza mk4, preferably the 100bhp 1.9 TDI as im still in my 1st year of driving.

It is imo the best looking car out there, its lush!

I am going to drive out to a garage and have a proper good nose about one when I have the chance!

I just have one questions - is the inside cramped or?

I am 6'4 and a little chunky - I have owned an old shape focus which I thought was a nice size, and now a Peugeot 307 which I think is even more spacious - how does it compare to these?

Thanks :)

I find the back seats less spacious, the fronts really arnt that bad. especially if you have your seat back quite far like me. space inside isnt that bad, i've managed to get a 46" LCD inside mine

best idea is a test drive really

This is to be expected as the Focus along with the 307 are slightly bigger than the Leon dimensionally, so the Ibiza will be a fair bit smaller.

Couldn't agree more, also try a car supermarket there you can have a sit in many models. You may be surprised what feels roomy inside.

Should be alright, I'm not a little fella myself - though I'm 5'10", theres a good few inches above my head. In terms of width, I think the side bolsters on the seats are slightly wider than that on the focus, so you should be able to fit.

I'm 6ft 3, and with height adjustment on the drivers side, i still have 5 inches of headroom

Wheel adjusts for reach and rake, rare in this class, and legroom is OK- i can just about sit behind myself, if you see what i mean- pretty similar for space to a current shape polo

Best to try it for yourself- especially take it for a test drive, the diesels are notorious for fairly hard ride

Had a sit in one today...it was alright, but my current car definately had it beat with the interior...

It seemed a little cramped for me but then again I didnt lower my seat or adjust the steering wheel, bit of a noob, took me like 5 mins to work out how it went back! :p

Could definately see myself driving one though, shortlisted these:

Ibiza
Leon (New shape)
Focus (New Shape)
Astra (New Shape)
Possibly a Golf
