I got it all at Halfords. They have a paint section with the proper manufacture colours, the only seat one i could find though was Flash red which is what i needed but they might have a better choice at bigger halfords because its quite small. When you find the right colour (maybe try other VAG makes like Audi, VW or skoda? you will need to get:

- Primer

- The paint that matches your car colour

- Lacquer to give it a gloss effect to match the rest of the car and not look plasticy :)

sorry to seem stupid but where do you get laquer and primer from? and how do you know how much laquer to apply afterwards? ive heard its a couple of coats for primer paint and laquer? could you do the wing mirror covers in this way as well? id quite like to do do the door handles too unless it would look ok leaving them in black?

I got it all from Halfords and spent £28 with lots left over to paint the sidestrips.

First you sand down the mirrors or sidestrips whichever you want to paint, i couldnt get mirror covers off becfause the mirrors were seized and wouldnt fold in so masked the car and covered in paper and did it whilst it was on the car. Then you need spray a couple of coats of Primer and leave it for 24 hours after that (these instructions were on the paint anyway), the second step is to paint the car with the colour paint you want it, 2 or 3 coats will do, i did two but it looks slightly lighter than the car and then leave it another 24 hours (i think it was) before putting two coats of lacguer on :)

Hope that helps!

This pic shows it since i painted the mirrors!

How easy is it to fit mate? I know its one screw, but whats the bits you have to pull back the headlining?

ye just 1 screw. they mention pulling back the headlining to locate the screw hole, nothing else to it

only decision is which way round you put it ;)

Aero (Retro-fit) front wipers.
Aluminium Tax disc holder.
Better headlight bulbs (Nightbreakers or X-treams), silver indicators (de-tango).

All these are about £20 each.

Wouldn't be too sure. VW and Skoda have a VERY similar blue to mine, but is slightly, slightly off. I'd just go to a scrappies to save the hassle, really. I'm planning to get mine in gloss black, anyway.

Yeah it will look good, wonder if seat can sell the paint? BTW Choco i've brought some SX Wheels for mine, fitted em today and they look nice :) Will add some pics and make a readers ride tomorrow.

i've done both chrome gear surrounds and w8 interior light...along with glove box light. well worth the money, especially the w8 light as they add more classy look to the interior

i think the chrome surrounds are less than £20 from dealer...for w8 light and glove box light get in touch with st10587 (Steve-O)...he'll sort you out with all parts and talk you over the wiring
