want a neat mod for pocket money? pop down to a Citroen dealer and order a stubby aerial, couple of quid mate, and its the shortest thing you'll ever see. Screws right on, picks up reception ok still, and looks a bit like a little shark fin from a distance, plus looks a bit OEM rather some chavy ebay or halfords crap. I can give you the part number and pics if you want. I think at least one guy's already done this on here...

You mean one of these ;)

The signal isn't quite as good with a stubby one with standard headunit. I ran with no aerial at all after my stubby one got nicked for a few months and signal was still good in most places, but no reception out in the sticks. Back to standard one now :(

I've got a signal booster, Kris. I only ever loose radio signal if I'm out in the middle of the sticks.

Standard headunit in a mk3 ibiza with no booster, and aftermarket headunit in a mk4 polo with booster. Both had poor reception in comparison to the standard aeriel. Ive still got mine somewhere if someone would like it for a few beer tokens:D

If its the same as the mk3, just unscrew it untill it rotates and then pull like mad! Its an anti theft device. Itll feel like your going to break it but it will come off in the end.

I've got a Peguoet one, same as that one no doubt. Picks up Radio 1 fiine in the majority of areas, can be quite crap if at the bottom of a dip and on a narrow road with buildings either side

This thread may be long gone dead, but do you have the part number for the aerial?
