Snapped Coil Springs - Seat Ibiza 52 plate

Anybody had any problems with them ?

My front nearside coil spring snapped in half last night.

It's a 130TDI Sport with 44K on the clock.

How much do they costs and are they difficult to change?

Itll probably be around 1 hours labour to replace, then 1 hour for tracking, and then the spring (assuming you havent also damaged the shocker) so your getting easily around £120 there.

Maybe you should just go for a full upgrade? Standard suspension (shockers mainly) have been known to go very dreary after 50k.

If your looking for a full or part set, i have a spare thats only done about 14k from a 53 sport - iirc it was only on the car 9-10 months. The guy who originally had my car upgraded... If your interested, let me know!

£40+ each mine went at 20K, left hand side should be easy drivers side a bitch, if you're keeping it may be two springs and shocks of your choice would be a good idea, don't rate the standard stuff anyway!!!
