Sorry to say but if you want internet radio you have to subscribe to one of the expensive Cubic Telecom data packages. It's not included with your Seat / Cupra connect subscription. Just keep using your phone's hotspot.

Had my update yesterday to A896, getting a problem when I press the voice control on the steering wheel ... Any ideas

The voice control is temporarly disabled until the full update has completed. You will know when that happens as the software version will show 1896.
Ah ok, how do you force the next part of the update, as that update came through 2 days ago

Think only had the first update ... Or at least only downloaded one 3gb file so far

Yes it is included in the first year but after that it's about £100 a year I believe . Mine's up for renewal at the end of July. I doubt I will bother at that ridiculous price!

After 2 days of the progress bar on 80% it finally finished.

Restarted the car but it doesn’t look to have changed anything. It must have failed although there are no other notifications?

I agree, I’ve never taken them, same with my Octavia vRS, never paid after the first year. It’s not worth the money for the OTA updates either, smartphones provide the rest of the functionality (route guidance, internet radio, YouTube music etc).

I’ve found a place to check status of the download (after thinking an update disappeared).

System settings > system information >show all updates. We know watch the download during every journey (apologies if people already knew this!)

Not sure your second point is correct (about it being 1896 when fully updated OTA). I have version A896 and voice control back after second update - see below photo

It's been 3 days now with no further updates and still on A896 *with* voice control back again.

I do wonder if they have stopped the OTA rollout a few days ago. I had two updates:

3400 megabytes which removed the voice control
1700 megabytes which brought it back again

I'm reading about a third part I am missing that takes A896 to 1896. Haven't had that though.

My point above is that it's not 1896 that brings back voice control. It's "Part two of A896".

Sadly most of my issues e.g. ACC problems, remain

I too have been watching the update download as I drive.... Apologies your honour.... :)

But then this morning I realised all the other text on the screen had disappeared, graphics were OK but no text. Awaiting next vehicle start to see if it's fixed itself.

Agree, went out for a drive .. and ACC is still faulty, and slowing when overtaking. For me, that is the only thing that I really needed fixing ... but now I have part install, no voice control and still ACC issues

I hope your dealer is one of the better ones! Fingers crossed they can sort it.

I read online you can pull fuse 19 to trigger a new download slot. However that didn't work for me.

The ACC undertaking issue might be fixed in the elsive "third OTA installment" but I have yet to see that to try it out.
