sparco steering wheel

hi all i fitting my sparco steering wheel tomorrow can i stop the air bag light staying on by putting 2amp fuse wire between the air bag connections??
any help appriciated

(No idea about disabling light sorry - would expect you'd need a resistor to fool the sensor)

cant you turn it off in the glove box disconect battery and do it that way??

Glovebox key switch only turns off the passenger airbag i think.

It turns off passenger side only. You need to disconnect the battery to make sure doesnt go off.

i took the airbag steering wheel off of my old mondeo and put on a momo wheel. i disconnected the battery and left it for 15-20 minutes before attempting to remove the airbag unit. i was under the impression that all aftermarket steering wheel bosses for airbag equipped cars had the appropriate wiring/connectors to sort this problem out.

i didn't have this issue with the mondeo, i took the lightbulb out from the dash display!

okguys ill try with fuse wire though its just so i keep a circuit so it think the bag is connected cheers anyway

just a quick question, i need to adjust my steering wheel as its off centre, the tracking is ok as theres no pulling. is the steering wheel on a splined shaft on the steering column?

belie so yes if its off line you need 4 wheel laser alginment or maybe its had a knock etc but you shouldnt take wheel off and put it on straight

I got my car 4 wheel aligned and the steering wheel now sits off centre to the left. Tracking and everything is perfect. Shows how good they come out the factory.

the subframe may need jiggling about then take it to amd they did mine like that

hi mate i fitted a different wheel to my leon and i used a momo wheel boss it came with some resistor pack to put in the wiring not sure about the 2 amp fuse though would'nt that just short the wires together
