Im going to be changing my suspension springs when they arrive.. I was reading the guide to changing them and it says that you need a "Special Tool" to get your old springs off the shocks.. Could someone tell me what this "Special Tool" is and where i buy 1 from? Also is this the same for the Arosa's?

If the removal of the strut top is similar to the mk4 ibiza, you may require a socket which is square/hexagonal at the ratchet end. But again, I wouldn't call that a "special tool".

I think this might of been what he was talking about.. but im not sure if its the same on the Arosa until i come to doing it.. he said it costs about 15 quid but never said what it was lol.. Thanks for helping guys :)

Well, looking at the pictures lunalupi provided in your other thread, it looks pretty similar.

Yea.. just gonna wait and see whats needed when it comes to doing it.. should be doing it wednesday anyway

It needs a funny allen-key-spanner type tool to undo the top of the struts under the bonnet. I don't know really as I used the alternative - a friendly mechanic with an air-gun who was able to remove it without the special tool
