speed sensor fault p0501

has anyone else had any speed sensor faults where the speedo works fine but the mil lights on with p0501 code in the system.

Is this not the Crank Sensor/Engine Speed sensor

if it is this the oil light will come on due to oil pressure dropping

is your car cutting out?

No, this is a separate sensor for road speed. Works off the final drive, and the sensor is in the gearbox casing.
