Hi I had bought a spoiler for my lc(2001) few months ago.I was wondering if this would help with downforce in getting the car more stable when accelarating and gettin the power down onto the road.Any advice please!!!

what advantages of doing this
and disadvantages.
I have pics of spoiler to send if needed

It will make negligible difference. Mainly be for looks.

Uprated dogbone mount will make more difference in trying to get the power down.

Have you got any pics
if its for the rear i would'nt of thought it would help with front grip.
Normally they only start working at higher speeds.
Have you thought about changing your front tyres.

yeh if you give me your email add i can send you pics of one that is the same.Yeah i udnerstand what you are saying about higher speeds.I noticed that my front tyres where going down slightly so chnaged the back to front and soon should be buying new ones.I have p6000 in front now and p7 in back,205 55 r16.What tyres would you suggest to replace with and hwere to get from?

How much is an uprated dogbone mount and is it a big job to change?

Where abouts are you and whot do you drive mate
I didnt like the p6000 or p7000
I'v got a mate who is a agent for FALKEN (fk 452) he and many others on here rate them very highly. At the moment i'm runing DUNLOPS there ok but will be going FALKENS next, they are a good price aswell.

i have a leon cupra 2001,havnt done much to it,but going in for remap very soon hopefully,im from leicester,yerself?*

I'm in se london mate a bit to far away for you to come just for tyres :lol:
I would change your tyres before thinking about spoilers though mate. Especialy if your planing a remap
Dog bone mounts are about £20 i dont think it's to bad a job to fit there is a post on here about them, mixed opinions on them

The falkens are defineately well priced. I ve just had a quote of £60.38 each fitted balanced etc etc.

Sorry, should have said! Thats for the 16" standard LC wheel. The price was from Gupa P Protyre in Plymouth. Thats for the Falken FK452.

lol,this headed from spoiler to tyres,i chekc my tyres they fine,part from left back which is getting worn,I have the p6000 in front,they not great,but will have to do for now,bcos they in good condition,dont wnna waste em.But when chaning il keep the falkens in mind and the pzeros 2,they both have good reviews.

what u guys rekon bout upper front strut bar,i have one,going to fit it this week,u guys think they work for real?and i dno y but since i changed the tyres around it just seems to understeer more and the funny thing is the front ones now have more grip than the old front ones.yday went round a bend i could njormaly do in wet fine and the wheels just went straight insted of right.(but i rekon theere was oil there bcos that just doesnt make sence)
