Squeeky front LCR 02

Hi Folks,

My cupra has a horrible creaking sound from the front suspention. many garages have said different things that it could be, dry joints and bushes etc.... has anyone had this problem before? i took the strut brace off but it was even worse so it went straight back on, doesnt seem to do it when its wet, when im am turning and the camber of the road changes pitch it sounds like a squeeky barn door .

other than that the car is the nuts

could be the top mount rubbers need changing

top mounts as ben says, i sometimes get this, a slight creak at times, or worn shock? Defo replace the top mounts first and go from there i would say

You can often see that top bush is worn, the gap at top mount under bonnet has grown, between cap thing and car body, if that makes any sense?

It sounds like your anti-roll bar mounts or the anti-roll it's self thats making this noise. Had same thing with mine the sleeve had split and caused the anti-roll to crack.

thank you very much guys i will investigate it has been driving me nuts but there is to much to adjust without having any idea of where to start looking

The anti-roll bar can be check with wheels on full lock while car is on the floor. Where abouts you from as it may be worth asking a seat vw specialist to have a look

squirt wd in top mounts and arb bushes.. when the squeek stops you have your problem.. im not saying this is a repair but it will diagnose the fault ..
