Does the standard ibiza boostat 6 psi?

Has anyone ever turned up the boost without a remap? Did it cause damage?

You cant just turn up the boost without a remap mate. The ECU's on the 1.8 20vt's are far to clever for there own good,. Not like the crap old jap cars where you just need a fuel cut defender and a adjustable boost valve.

Try the search button mate, you will finde everything you will ever need to know about tuning your car from there.

I know i wasn't planning to but i was just curious as to what would happen and if anyon has done it?

Mainly i wanted to make sure my car is boosting correct at 6psi?

If you up the boost without a remap it will go into limp mode as you will hit the upper boost limit.

IIRC 6-9psi is about right for a mk3 cupra.

And for turning the boost up it was just a curious question wheni was posting anyway.
