hi all

started to fit a hands fre last night 2 my Fr. its a parrot 3200ls. i took the radio out and plugged everything in then tryed the radio and it wouldnt turn on with the egnition. only manually. the radio that is.

so i took all the extra wiring off and tryed it how i found it. yet again no joy. i am reading 12v from the main live so thats ok. but the egnition live is reading nothing.

i have checked the fuse that is ok. but is that a main fuse or egnition. anyway of checking the wire?!

i just dont understand how this has happend to be honest!

any ideas?!

I've got a Ck3100......it doesn't do that mate. The perm and switched 12v is the opposite way around to normal though, cant remember if there is two options on the Parrrot for the switched supply (normally it's a bullet connected job)

Is there a seperate fuse for the ignition live than the permanent live for the radio connection.

The fuse for the radio is ok, continuity testing makes me believe that this is only for the permanent live and not the ignition live.

I think that there must be a seperate fuse for the ignition live and i hope its blown so that would explain why the iginition live has no power to it.

Anyone know of such a fuse ?

The Parrot wiring normally has fuses in-line with the two power feeds. The red and yellow wires have them in-line, so you can easily swap them around should it be needed.

So the radio fues was ok, but there was another fuse, one of them realy small ones at the top that had blown, dam thing.
