Standard Shock Question (1.6 > Cupra)

Asking on bahalf of Dan (he's not got access).....

Basically, he has a 1.6, and his mate has a cupra, and his mate wi cupra has offered to swap shocks over (I don't know why, so don't ask)

Would 1.6 shocks fit a cupra?

I'm 99% sure the answer is yes. Afterall, I had cupra shocks on the 1.4, and know people have put them on 1.6's. But what about other way around?

As said, I think they well, the fitments will all be the same, just the compression of the damper will be different

Can someone confirm if they will fit or not.....

well im on vag-cat now and to my suprise there isn't more than one type of shock absorber, there is:
a heavy duty one
a sport one
normal shock abosorber.

im guessing to use vag-cat i have to check my engine code againt what is says?
