my friend has a 130 tdi that only has problems starting when it has under a quarter of a tank of fuel ?? anyone else had this ??? any ideas apart from keeping the tank full
Could still be above. Any of those may not cut off the flow completely, but will slow down the pressure build up of diesel to the engine. Hence slow to start but okay when started.
The fuel gauge might not be calibrated correctly or the filter may need changing, there is also a gauze in the fuel pump that could be becoming blocked or the lift pump has failed - thus not priming the fuel system before start up when the fuel has ran back in the lines.
