may sound stupid but has any1 ever got in their car and noticed the clutch it stuck half way,
this happened on my old MK4 petrol after some freezing weather, i come home after a week working away, got i in to drop a mate a the pub and noticed i was stalling very easy, kept doin it before i realised that the pedal was lower than the brake, it was still working a normally but just biting lower (hense the stalling) so pulled over and just stuck my foot under it to pull it up, after that if returned to it's normal position and never happened again, i don't know what made me think of it but i just wondered if it happened to anyone else, if so did they find out what it was:confused:

yup, I have had this but on a mk3

it is to do with the return spring in the master cylinder

the dealers normally fit a complete upgraded cylinder assembly as once the rubber seals have breached they will do it again and again

I dont mean to sound like a grumpy old fart, but you really could use the SEARCH button alot more, it seems like you are putting threads up left right and centre rather than using the search function and actually looking for an answer rather than asking the question first, and waiting for other people to answer.

Just a thought mate, its why its there for, to find your answers to any problems that you have.
