hi all, my 2002 leon cupra was stolen the beginging of this month.the car was recovered but it was the previous that took the car with a spare key.just wondering what woulld be involved with fitting new locks and getting new ignition barrel and obviously immobiliser and the fob reprogrammed?

You've pretty much summed up what needs replacing!

I bet the prices from a dealer for the new Immobiliser and coding won't be cheap though

You need to find a local Auto Electrician / Backstreet immobiliser bodger I'd think

That or buy the cheapest Leon Cupra you can, and rips the bits off it you need & then stick it on ebay as a non starter :)

Did the previous owner get arrested? Did they find the key? I personally wouldnt bother! Would be cheaper to buy one of these.....

Look at this on eBay:

UNIVERSAL HEAVY DUTY CAR VAN STEERING WHEEL LOCK HIGH SECURITY CROOK AUTOCARE

Even though they can be broken off atleast itll put whoever has a key off because i dont think he'll have the knowledge to break it off.
