Hi all,

I have a strange intermitant boost fault.

Car drives fine around town but after sitting at 70mph on the m25 for a little while it will only hit 5psi for ages.

It done it yesterday, then the EML came on and as soon as it did the car started fully boosting to 8-10psi (standard).

It must have logged a fault, hence the EML light but what do you guys think could be up?

It's an intermitant fault so can't be a pipe off somewhere.

I'm thinking N75 valve faulty?

Cheers

Haven't got vag com but i will get it plugged into launch on monday which usually throws up the faults.

Just seing if anyone untill then lol

Plugged her in....

17536 - P1128 Bank 1 sporadic - mixture adaption too lean.

17658 - P1250 Fuel level too low.

I haven't ran the car low on fuel so don't get the 2nd one!

I cleared all codes and drove home.

On the drive home i had no power, think it was in limp mode.

I've disconnected the MAF sensor and it drove 100% straight away.

So it must be the MAF? How much do they cost roughly and will i harm anything driving with it disconnected?

Thanks,

Dan

sure its maf.... thought it would say 'G70 maf signal to low' ect... on vagcom, if so local seat/audi vw garage will have them, or local your local gsf cost 60-70 exchange....

It started going into limp mode after i done diagnostics.

Im sure it will have logged the maf fault now though.

Is it ok to drive with it disconnected?

not really advise to drive with it disconnected as it just guess's the air/fuel mixture so may run lean ect...leave it plugged in and it will be safe till you get a new one...
