Strut Bolts... MK3 Cupra

Tried to take my strut brace off today but can't get one of the six bolts out....it just spins as if the threads have gone on the bolt... Anybody got any ideas how I could get it out without being brutal to the car.....

did you try to knock it through from underneath

drop the suspension strut out - you should be able to get at it down there

Will try that but do these bolts actually hold anything on the suspension?

the top mount i think.... it's been a while

Yep your right it holds the top mount.. Had the wheel and arch liner off and found that the welded nut on the bottom has come away from the top mount so both the nut and bolt are spinning.. Going to chemical metal it tomorrow as a temp fix so I can get the bolt out and get a new top mount on Monday.. Thanks for the advise guys...
