just ordered the seat sport strut brace, just woundering how people fitted them and if it is easy. was told to take bolts out when car is on ground.

3 mins to fit, although on the FR you will need to trim the engine cover near the dump valve as that will tend to knock against the brace, shite is that the time, best get ready.

PS i took mine off as got too crashy,

yeah as antfr said its a doddle, 2 bolts either side by the top mounts. had to do lots of trimming on my engine cover by the dump vlave but took my time and looks cool now! will try and post a pic later if you like.

This is a pic of it in my engine bay, does make a bit a difference up front, but as AntFR said it is a bit crashy!

Its a bit trickier on a Tdi cos you have to remove the shift box??? on the o/s strut to get access to the top strut bolt's. Here's mine!

It's a PITA when you want to clean the air filter, I have visions of loosing one of the nuts from that box thing when installing/removing it.

Little tip when changing the air filter. One of these methods wil do.

Just undo the n/s strut bolts and 'tweek' the brace up.

Remove the whole airbox, it will come out towards the battey, its only the airpipe, MAF and one 10mm bolt.

The 'box' contains the EGR and N75 solenoid valves btw.

cheers ill have to see if it needs trimming just thought it would be nice to buy something for the car for 2006
