So a few days ago I got a software update message on my screen (i believe i was running version 1989 prior to the update, so pretty up to date already).
After the update (I did not get an "update succesfully" message or such) I noticed that my car wasn't connecting to my Cupra app anymore.
The globe icon also was grey and the incognito icon was visible.
When I press the globe, it tells me it is in privacy mode and I need to change it in privacy settings. But it won't even let me enter privacy settings.

Also the "user" menu is no longer available at all (I believe this menu disappeared a few updates back alltogether).
I tried a reset by holding the power button for 15 seconds, but it did not solve the issue. Factory reset also did not change anything.
I even went to disconnect the 12v battery for 45 minutes, but this also made no difference.

Any suggestions? My last resort would be to go to the dealer, but they would charge me for diagnostics and the first available slot is in MAY

The car in question is a Cupra Leon Sportstourer PHEV 245hp, 2022.

I am having the same issue although I can change the settings when I enter the car.

Same happened to me.

Its because the update wipes your profile, or rather logs you out. You have to log in again using your email address and S-PIN associated with your Cupra account.

After the update the car was being very unhelpful, no radio and half the settings were unavailable (try again later it says). Reset the infosystem several times but no help, found the user setting in the app drawer and logged in as above - which cured the privacy but didn't restore my own settings.

I got the part about 5G verses 3G switch off but they could have warned it would give the car amnesia?
